Accepted Payments:

I accept payment via debit cards or all major credit cards including Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express. I also take Health Savings Cards or FSA cards . Please be advised that the fee for service is due at the time the service is rendered.

Out-of-Network Billing:

Some health insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, in which case your insurance company reimburses you for all or part of the cost of your session, even if the therapist isn't in their network. Check with your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network benefits.

If you decide to use Out -of-Network benefits from your insurance coverage, I can provide a receipt called ‘Superbill’ with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance provider. If using out-of-network, depending on your plan you might be required to meet the out-of-network deductible and keep in mind that a mental health diagnosis will still need to be provided. Contact your insurance company to inquire about your specific out-of-network coverage as not all plans have out-of-network coverage.

How do I use out-of-network benefits?

To use this benefit, you'll be responsible for paying the full session fee yourself at the time of service. After the session, I'm happy to provide a Superbill that you can send to your insurance provider. Depending on your out-of-network benefits plan and once your out-of-network deductible has been met, you may be eligible for reimbursement at a full or a percentage of the session rate. Reimbursement will be sent directly to you from your insurance company.

If you need more information, you can call your insurance company and ask:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits? If so, what percentage of the cost does insurance cover or how much will I be reimbursed for out-of-network services?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Where should I send my Superbill to get reimbursed?

  • Do I need a referral from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered out of network?

What do I need to know about the No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates Notice?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
